Dr. B. C. Kalmath is a renowned Senior Interventional Cardiologist in India and has been responsible for establishing the department of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology at Horizon Hospital, Thane and also working as a Sr. Interventional cardiologist & associate professor cardiology at Bombay Hospital Mumbai
Dr. Kalmath has done 50000 angiographies and 20000 Angioplasties with include complex liftmen and biforgation Chip indicated CTO
Dr. Kalmath also practicing Imaging guided coronary interventions since year 2005 and having immense experience in IVUS/OCT/FFR & Rotablator assisted PCI.
He has been recipient of the “Gold Medal Award” of Mumbai University, for being first in DM Cardiology Exam. “Ivan – Pinto Gold Medal in DM exams for Bombay University, 1998. J & J Award for excellence in Cardiology in D.M.Examination. Young Achiever Award for the year 2005 from Jaycee International Club, Mumbai.
Dr Kalmath was Course Director for Radial Workshop in 2002 which was attended by more than 400 interventional cardiologist.
He has researched many publications and presentations in Indian and international peer reviewed journals & at various national & international forums.
Dr Kalmath was joint secretory for 1st World Cardiac Congress Held in Mumbai.
Dr. Kalmath trained on TAVR therapy at Hungry Budapest. And also a trained device implanter and having more than 2 years of experience in ICD CRTD implantation with post procedural follow ups and programming.
